LOGAN,Ut., October 9, 2025 –S&S Worldwide (S&S) has introduced the world’s newest family coaster and brought the family fun to their own facility in Logan, Utah. Inspired by Arrow Dynamics’ Steeplechase Coaster, RailRyder reimagines the classic concept for today’s amusement market.
“Our conversations with parks have shown that the roller coaster market is shifting,” said Trever Dyer, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing at S&S Worldwide. “We’re finding that more parks are looking for a ride the whole family will enjoy, including grandparents, teenagers, and the youngest thrill seekers. RailRyder was designed to fit that need.”
When S&S engineers set out to fill the gap in the family coaster market, they turned to their own rich legacy for inspiration. Arrow Dynamics’ single rail Steeplechase Coaster became the foundation for a modern revival. Building on this classic concept, S&S’s Research and Development team reimagined the design with a sleek, ribbon-style single rail track that delivers both visual appeal and an unforgettable ride experience. The vehicles were designed to be lower to the track and seats placed in-line, allowing parents the perfect position to interact with a first-time rider. The open-air vehicle and seatbelt restraint allow riders to feel more freedom, giving older kids the thrill they crave in a roller coaster.

On October 9th, 2025, S&S invited family and friends to enjoy the first article coaster built at their facility. Children of employees, friends, and neighbors came together to celebrate this newest development, with both adults and children queuing over and over again! As people of all ages exited the ride, it was clear that RailRyder is a new fan favorite and really does fill the family-thrill gap the industry has been looking for.
